i am having touchscreen issues with my xperia arc s. the bottom touch is not working properly and i am having dificulty in typing msg.i would like to know how i can rectify this problem

Do you have any screen protector on the phone? If so, try removing that and see if it helps.
If the problem is not caused by a screen protector i recommend that you contact your local Sony Xperia support(http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location for assistance.
