Problems with printing pdf.

I have tried searching the forum for any similar problems.  Please forgive me if I have missed them.

I have just acquired a new, web friendly printer (Canon MG 7550), and wanted to test printing from my Z3 compact.

I select a pdf file from Google Drive and tell it to print via WiFi directly to the priinter.  The screen which then comes up seems to normally assume that the print is to be a 4x6 Index card (the pdf is a two sided A4 document).  Sometimes the first page is shown correctly (filling the page) but the image of the second page is croped, shrunk and shown in the top left corner of the page.  Changing the document size manaully makes no difference to what is displayed on the print screen.  However if after selecting A4, I proceed and tell it to print then the document appears to be printed correctly.

The same sort of thing happens if I try printing via Google Print.

So there seems to be some issue on the phone with the print image display.  As the print drivers do not seem to be loaded at that stage (as I have not selected a printer) then the issue seems to rest with the phone.

If I attempt to just view the pdf using Adobe Acrobat then the document displays correctly, but again if I select "print" I end up with the odd displays.

I have tried a reboot.

Can anyone advise me what might be done, please.

[Edit - this appears to have been posted in the Z1 Compact forum.  I thought, and intended, that it should be in the Z3 comact forum.  I have asked for it to be moved over.  Hopefully it will be.  However, the question in it relates to a Z3 Compact with Android 5.1.1.]

Ummmm.. can you please explain a little more about what you mean by "protected"?  

These are pdf files I have created (probably with PDF Creator), and which do not naturally open into editable documents.

Thanks for the link uliwooly but I don't see anything there about the image shown of what is to be printed not matching what is printed.  Have I missed something?

Can you (or anyone out there) successfully print a pdf via Google Print or other print means from your Z3 Compact?

Do these images help illustrate the problem?

The first is how the pdf file shows when viewed on the phone in Adobe Acrobat, two A4 sheets one with a map the second with profile data.

This second image is what I see if I select print after the previous screen.  Note how the full page of map is squashed up into the corner of the page and that an odd page size is automatically selected - even if I change this to A4 the image on the screen does not change.

I can't see the pictures until they are approved by a moderator, with that said, since thats a Google service, you might have to contact Google support on this problem.

When you do see the images you will see that in fact the problem image was not with me using Google print but with me trying to use a WiFi print to a Canon printer.  Either gives the same odd result so I do not see it as a Google print problem more an Android one.  What I would like to find out was whether it is one that others also face on their Z3 compacts.

When I can find time I may well try raising it in an Android forum but if anyone here has any further thoughts, or can confirm that they do or do not have a similar problem, I would be very grateful.
