Problems with gmail

Hello, i recently bought a X10 mini pro from my friend. i love the phone but i am having trouble connecting to the market etc because i need to be logged into my google account. i have a google account but everytime i try to sign in i recieve an error message -

[The application setup wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again]

I dont know what to do!! Please help!

Two things to try:

1) Run our update service application (www.sonyericsson.com/update). This will factory reset the phone (all data released).

2) Try to setup via Wi-fi (or 3G if you were using Wi-fi)
