Problems with Browser in Wi-Fi mode

My phone has just developed an error. The browser works fine when using the O2 network mobile data. However, when connected to Wi-Fi the browser is not working - other applications like BBC i-player show similar issues. Can anyone suggest a resolution.

Does the name of the router have a "connected with limited connectivity" message next to it in the wifi settings?
