Problems with Bluetooth connection

My phone is the C3 D2533 model. Since day 1 I have battled with its Bluetooth connections.

It refuses to connect to Ford's Sync system (tried two different cars - I've given up on this one), and the connection to my PC is very unreliable. Sometimes it works fine, other times it simpy fails to send the file. It however pairs easily with Samsung airtrack and connects everytime without a problem.

I need the connection to my PC as I often transfer photo files and I found Bluetooth was the best way when using my old Nokia.

Has anyone got any advise?

I have checked my phone and it has the latest software.

I have tried pairing with my PC with Wifi switched off on the Sony (saw a post where this was suggested).

I have unpaired my Sony and my PC to try and reset the connection. Now it refuses to pair at all. My PC is an MSI laptop.

Thanks.

try to clear up data of the smart connect app settings>apps>smart connect >clear data
try to crossmatch bluetooth profiles supported by your devices and your smart phone Xperia C3 is supported by the following bluetooth profiles indicated here: http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/d2533/whitepaper_EN_d2533_xperia_c3.pdf

it also helps if you remove all pairings from all devices, then restart, then try to pair again.

try to pair your devices from the smart connect app open the app click on the + sign.

try to see if there are 3rd party apps that may have interfere with the use of bluetooth.

if all else fails. try to repair your phone with PCC. make sure to backup important data.

OK, I've cleared all data under Smart Connect. Removed all paired devices. Still no luck. I tried pairing through the Smart Connect App as suggested by I couldn't figure it out (I'm no tech fundi).

Next I will try the PCC fix.
