Problems since update

I have recently performed the latest software update on my xperia s and ever since i am unable to gain internet access using GSM. I am however able to recieve data whilst on WCDMA only. Is this problem related to the recent upadate and how do i resolve this issue?

I suggest that you try to remove the APN Internet settings from your phone. Settings > more > mobile networks > access point name.  Then download new ones from settings > Xperia > Internet settings. Or add the APN settings manually.

Restart the phone and try again. If you still experience problem I suggest that you try with another SIM card.

i am from india mumbai,m also facing 2G internet issue since JB 4.1.2 Update.

m trying to tell service center executives that its ur jb update issue not an hardware issue.still they replaced my motherboard but no solution.again given to sony servic and again take 15 more days to chage motherboard.sony also not doing official statement.

I cant use net on 2g and battery drain fast in standby.m really frustated what to do now as i buy this costly phone at 29000/- INR.

not useful,problem is in jb update.same sim works fine in other handset on 2g.I checked the same
