Problems discovered in new Xperia T Jelly Bean update

The JB Update for Xperia T has been long awaited, and now it's here. It's a magnificent update with tons of new features and optimisations, however, I would like to bring some insight regarding a few problems I found out about to the Sony Support Staff :

1) The weather widget, which I loved and was the only weather app/widget I used due to it's sleek design and animation, now has a major flaw. Althoug it works properly, for some reason It creats a LOT of lag when put on a homescreen, while sliding across screens. The lag seems to have something to do with the animation, as it stops the second you start to slide and begins 1-2 secs after you stop sliding and look at the screen it's on. If you slide across screens, the one where the weather widget is on creates quite a huge lag, drops a lot of frames, whereas in the ICS version there was absolutely no lag, and no such problem. Seems to need a bit of optimisation! I'd love if Sony would become aware of it and work on it as soon as possible, because it's a shame to use a 3rd party app for weather when the native one is so beautiful and simple

2) Just like the weather widget, the Walkman widget also seems to cause lag, but significantly less than the aforementioned one. Again, the widget created no problem on the ICS version, so we're probably talking about some optimisation that needs to be done

3) For some reason, after updating to JB, the game NFS Most Wanted has been rendered incompatible with the Xperia T (according to Google Play), and thus can't be installed, which is annoying since it's a great game and everyone who has it payed 5-6 euros on it. I don't know if EA Games or Sony Mobile should adress the problem, but it needs  a quick fix as it's aggravating, shince now we're talking about "locked" money and entertainment.

Hope this helps and gets to the ears of the Sony Mobile staff responsible for coding the software!

Sony...Listen up!...

Why oh why would you take out simple options like having dark phone & messaging appearance in your latest JB update. Quite frankly the white background is hideous! and as for the blue background with grey text in the messaging bubbles this is bordering on migraine material!!. Ok not everyones taste is the same but PLEASE at least give users the option! At what meeting of your developers did the 'GID' (GoodIdeasDepartment) decide it was a good move to change features that many customers like!

I also want my options back to change the background colours, as I choose, changing the many new themes just changes the notification dot or tick etc, very featureless:smileyconfused: the white text messaging theme is dull, agree with Neme515:smileywink: migraine material!! not good Sony Angry_Face on a top of the range smart phone.

Also experienced random reboots for no apparent reason since upgrade to JB did this this morning between snooze on the alarm:smileycry:

In addition to the black background it would be awesome to have the old timer!

Whose idea was it to delete the seconds? I was using my smartphone as egg timer, guess what, best eggs were at 5:30 min!

I face many annoying things with the update (white background, walkman app problem ...) and I seriously think about flashing my phone back to ICS...

Totally agree with you guys.

I want back my black background for Contacts application as well.

I want back my elegant black phone.

Thanks in advance

I agree with you guys. The white background is brutal. Even with the theme change it still stays white. I'm hoping they make an update that makes us choose our theme. Black is the way to go with this phone. So far I have had no problems with the .489 jelly bean update except for the screen mirroring which lags badly with the PTV3000 Netgear device. Not sure if its Sony's update or the actual PTV3000's new firmware that causes the screen freezes. But ICS performed better. it only had a slight half second lag.

Iff you just installed the update wait one week before the system starts working good. Android always needs time to settle down. Try rebooting a few times too or factory reset if the problem still is here after a long time (2 weeks)
