Problems and bugs with KitKat 4.4.4 (14.4.A.0.155 and .157)

So let's start with KitKat 4.4.4 bugs.

There is still a problem with adding a photo to a contact - problem I have reported here.

This bug has been partly fixed in 4.4.4. Theres is no longer 7-10 sec waitng for starting app to crop a photo and if I choose taking a new photo everything is as should be.

Problem remains when I try to choose a photo from a photo album. Every photo is 90 degrees rotated, while cropping is still rotated and finally photo added to a contact is rotated.

This bug didn't exist in .681 firmware and previous ones.

I should point out that doing a pc repair will wipe the phone of all data and apps.

I've done a system-restore now, but performance is still very choppy when it comes to scroll up or down in Facebook. I think it is too in some other apps, but this could be just my imagination. This is frustrating, i wish i never had updated to this new version, because i was so happy with the performance before that.

Hi i recently updated from .681 to 4.4.4. But sadly it worsen my unit's battery life and it overheats after 10 mins of playing like dino hunter. Can someone help me regarding my problem?

Yes, Opera is extremly (!) choppy too, it's not only a problem with Facebook. Everything which involves scrolling up and down. Slightly_frowning_Face

I would try to restore to the previous version, but i don't have a clue where to get the correct firmware for Austria, for an unbranded model of the Xperia Z1 Compact..

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Did you reset the phone after the update? If not, I'd suggest that you give it a try.

I have tried it. And also the force shutdown as stated in the FAQ section

When you say the battery life is worse, is this also in general and not just with Dino Hunter?

Can you do the following steps?

Reboot your phone and let it do nothing for 10 mins.

Go to Settings > Power management > Battery Usage

Which apps show on top? (If possible, provide screenshot)

updated this afternoon and all was well till I noticed my phone had switched itself off, it would not switch on even on a soft reset, only way to get it back on was connecting a power source... It has now done it 4 times... Awwww.. Any advice will be grateful..

I've just bought this phone today, plugged it in to charge and I could fry eggs on it! I'm in the process of installing the latest update hoping that will fix it. Is there anything else I should be doing to fix the overheating?
