Problematic charging

Hello everyone!

Since a few days I've got a problem. My Sony Xperia E either doesn't charge (in fact it even discharges) or charges up slowly up to 56-57% or so and stops. I even reset my settings to the factory default, but it didn't work. Charging from my laptop doesn't work either. I'm using a different cable and charge head, because the original ones broke down. However, I'm using the original battery, which is undamaged.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I know that. My dad has a very old LG. That thing's battery lasts only for as much as a phone call, no longer than two minutes or so. But so far there are no problems charging it up to 100%. By the way, after restarting my phone an hour ago, it charged up to 65%, but now seems to discharge again. Maybe I should mention, that the battery discharges while, in fact it, is connected to an outside source and the phone indicates that it is charging.

Again it could be the battery not able to hold a charge or segments of the battery are faulty so lets say the battery has 4 segment's - 1 and 2 are fine but 3 is on it's way out and 4 is faulty - So it will charge to 50% without issue then get to about as you say 63% then the 3 segment shows the signs of it been faulty

In that case I'm gonna try to convince my parents to buy me a new battery to see if it works. Thanks for your help.
