Problem with Xperia T screen

Hallo there everyone,

Recently my xperia T screen went completely black (as if the mobile screen is locked). I have not dropped my phone ever, nor have I dropped any liquid on it. I have searched the web for a solution, and apparently a suggestion was to shut down the mobile (by pressing the volume up + power button until it vibrates 3 times) and then turn it on again.

Unfortunatelly, that didn't work. Another solution I tried was to use the "Update Service", nonetheless that didn't fix my problem as well. I am in no position to use the "repair my phone" through the PC companion since I cannot unlock the screen (it is mandatory before the repair function starts). Finally, I waited for the battery to go completely dead and then fully recharged the mobile in case that was the problem.

I am in a trouble here since I cannot find the receit of my purchase to send the mobile back to the service (still in warranty) and it is Christmas as well, so shops wont open till the 27th... Anyone has any suggestions on what else I should try?

Thanks in advance, and merry christmas to everyone.

Hey,

you have only these options:

- find the receipt and visit the official sony service

- buy a new display (I bought mine from e-bay for about 50 euros including the shipping) and replace it by yourself, it´s not so hard. However, if you decide to do this, be sure to order the whole lcd + front cover (otherwise you will need a heat pistol to unstick the display from the cover.
