Problem with xperia pro keyboard

I have recently noticed a issue with the keyboard on my xperia pro, when i slide out the keyboard the phone does'nt seem to understand it. Sometimes it works after sliding the keyboard in and out a couple of times. 

I can use the keyboard even though it does'nt light up, but i can't use the sym, globe and some of the other ones and also the auto correct don't work, since i live in sweden i need the autocorrect to put in the special swedish letters that aren't on the keyboard.

Any idea of what i should do?

it's hard to pin point if this may be related to software or hardware but I suggest that you begin with reinstalling the phone software using Update Service..

Before reinstalling your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.

I used Sony bridge since i'm using mac and i used the repair Xperia and i'm assuming it does the same thing since it only updated my phone from 2,3 to 4.0.4 which didn't help. I also noticed that the keyboard works when i slide the keyboard out slowly, and even if i slide the keyboard out and wait around 30 sec the phone lights up and so does the keyboard and it works as usual. I'm very confused by this since the fact that it works when i slide it out slowly point towards hardware problem but then when i wait and it works point towards software problem.

What can i do?
