Problem with video recording

Hi. I just wanted to address the problem, that is widely known and pointed out in a lot if reviews.
The Phone overheats when recording Videos, especially when on 60fps mode. It stops recording if it gets to hot. The longest Video I could take in 1080p60 was 18 minutes.
Also a even more annoying thing is that from time to time the framerate drops when recording in 1080p60.

My question to the support team: is this a Hardware or Software issue? And can we expect it to be solved soon?

Hi @LustigesPeterle,

Welcome to the community.

I am sorry you're experiencing heating issues with your camera. This is normal though. The higher quality the video, the more processing power it will take, and the more it will heat up your CPU. When your phone gets hot, it will give you a warning and stop any apps that are causing the heat in order to protect it from damage.

If you wish to record longer videos, you could try lowering the resolution. I apologise if this has caused you any inconvenience.
