Problem with "com.google.process.gapps"

Hi. First of all, I have to say that my phone (Xperia X10 mini) was rooted and working fine. Now, I wanted to download some apps I need. But when I start the phone, there's an error message: "process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly".

And then I try to download an app, but then it says "iniciating download" and that's it. It never downloads anything.

I tried resetting the phone. Nothing. Then I found a forum where they recommend to root the phone, then install some apps they provide, using a root explorer. But now I don't have one, so this is no good.

I don't know what to do to fix this. Any help will be much apreciated.

I don't know which forum is that or if its warez.

have you uninstalled any app? do you have a custom ROM?

I didn't uninstall any app, but I did factory reset the phone. And I don't have a ROM.
