I have had this phone for 3 days now... It was my boyfriend's phone... and it always worked perfectly to him, except for one little thing which happened just now in last 3 days:
when (last saturday) my bf gave the phone to me and I started using it, we noticed that the alarm settings were completly gone nuts.... Indeed even if the alarms were unchecked, the phone would continue ringing anyway, always at the same time (we switched the alarm at 12pm, but still it kept ringing at 8am).
By the way, yesterday morning I resetted the phone with the secret code, and everything went fine, I solved the problem of the alarm, and i got the phone back at basic status..... Indeed I forgot to save a backup copy of the themes that my bf dowloaded long ago, so I had the basic orange theme of sony ericsson walkman phones.... and I quite didnt like it... So last night we decided to download from the net a few themes (something that my bf did so many times in the past... while using this phone, and the one he bought after this, the P1i) in particular an animated clock, which once installed, f****d up my phone completly....
Now the phone wont load up, it starts after the battery is taken off, but then the charging bar reaches half its way and stops there....
I tried to read around what to do about it, and it seems like everybody suggest to use the SE update system... and here comes problem number 2: I have a Mac computer (and I cannot install the program given with the phone's install CD), in which I installed iSync but it is completly useless cuz it cant detect my phone....
By the way, If I try to connect the phone with USB cable to my computer, and I press the C button on phone while connecting.... the computer will eventually see it, as an external hard drive. I can enter and check all my music and photos, and I deleted the other 2 themes we downloaded from the net (saved in the folder "other" of the $Gb external memory).... but I cannot reset the phone... cuz the external hard drive I see is only the 4Gb extended memory of the phone, not the phone itself....
Please... I got very sad about this all, the phone is just awesome, and I hope this is not too hard to solve... can anybody please help me!?
