problem with internal device memory

I have space on my internal memory and the SD Card but the phone is very slow it show's as Device memory is almost full and I can't transfer the apps out.

What is the point in having space on the internal and the SDcard if the run get's stuck???   Is there a patch by sony or something that can adjust this issue so that the apps can be transfered??

Loved the phone but now I am getting a bit frustrated as it is getting stuck and there is nothing I can do about it.
