Problem with Facebook notifications

Hi

I just got an Xperia S and am experiencing a few annoying problems already. One is that I keep getting a notification to say I have new facebook messages when a) I don't have any unread messages and b) I have 'removed' the notification several times but it keeps coming back.

I have tried all the obvious solutions like logging out and back in, resetting the notification options and sync, adding (and removing) facebook upgrades and marking messages as unread then back to read...

I've also done a search around these forums but can't find an obvious existing solution.

Seems to be an issue with the facebook app, i am followin this forum quite regularly and i have not seen members facing this issue. What i could suggest you is to uninstall & reinstall facebook app.

Even if the issue still exist, disable the Facebook app and download "Friend Caster" its very fast compared to Facebook app and you could be able to do all the things which you are able to do with default facebook app.

I agree with sbkhbk, this sounds as though this is related to the Facebook application.

Thanks for your responses. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail. I wil try your suggestion of using 'friend caster' sbkhbk.
