Problem with Email setup

Hello ,

I have recently purchased the Sony Xperia S phone and till now I am very happy with it. The only problem I am facing is setting up my office email. I am not able to configure it in this phone only. It is working pretty fine on my other phones where I have android 2.1 and 2.3.7 versions. Every time I try to configure from xperia s i am getting errors like could not open connection. I am using the same method I used to configure email on my other phones.

The first thing to check is the APN that is being used, you may be using a WAP APN and not an Internet one. You can check this by going here on the phone: main menu > Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > From here you are best to check with your network if the options on this screen are for WAP or Internet.

Hi Sam ,

Thanks for the reply. I have checked it and it is selecting the correct mobile network thats my providers. Please let me know what else can i do to solve this problem.

whenever I am trying to configure active sync for my office email  I am getting a window stating could not connect to the server. This mail account is configured in my another android device which is running on gingerbread and there is no problem. I have cheked with wifi and using different sim cards but somehow everytime I get this error.

Please help
