So I upgraded my phone to an Xperia M4 Aqua last Saturday (01/08/15). I had an issue with constant crashing which seems to have been resolved with the phone's recent update (I wanna say Thursday?). That also seemed to give me some more storage space, somwhow. However, since the update I've had a problem with charging. I was on 42% when I needed to update, so quickly charged it up to 50% instead of waiting to drain as I desperately was hoping the update would fix my crashing problem. Since then though, charging hasn't properly worked. If switched off and charging, the red light doesn't actually show unless I hold down the reboot (volume up + power) buttons, in which it'll only blink. I also can't turn the phone on whilst charging. This would be normal if the phone had just run out of battery, but even if it's on say 10% and I don't wanna start the next day with that much, it still won't turn on whilst charging. The only way I can turn it on is if I take the charger out, hold down reboot until it does the quick vibrate and then power it on normally after that. It still charges whilst it's switched off, just it takes much longer than it should. Three hours normally gets it from 0% to around 100%, yet last night, it only took it to 42%. I left it on whilst charging for the next two hours and it was 100%. Even as I typed this, it's zoomed from 2% to 13%. I worry that this may be doing the phone or battery damage, as it died after about a minute of small usage on 1% and not that long from 5% until battery drainage. I don't wanna have to keep my phone on whilst it charges, and I don't wanna have to keep holding down reboot just to switch my phone on after charging. And obviously the slow charging is an issue. Has anyone else experienced this, possibly since the update?
