problem with charging xperiaz3+

I have bought Sony xperia z3+ just a week ago...since then i was not having any problems in charging but today when i plug my phone into charge even though the charger is on and the charging sign is also shown in the device the device is not charging!!! First it seemed to occur at 2% charge but when i unplugged the device it went off and everything was back to normal.. Then at charge of 80% it occured again...i was confused and i pressed the powerbutton and volume up button then phone was restarted and completed full charge...
really dissapointed! Why is it so??please help me out...

Welcome to the community,

This does seem more hardware related, however this could be the charger or the device, do you have an alternative charger of the same like that you could test with?

You could also Boot the handset to Safemode and see if the handset charges correctly.
