Problem with Back-Button

Hello,

I have a problem with the "Back" button below the display. It comes after pressing sporadically that although it gives a vibration feedback, the mobile phone but the back button does not execute, but only after you touch the screen.

This feels , as if the back button responds to my input and then break the back action immediately. I also have noticed that the back button reacts in this unwanted "pause mode" to further commands. Only when I touch the display the back-action is carried out and the back button responds.

The whole thing happened, as I said, sporadic, and if, it happens more often in a row. Something like this: 10 times it works -> 4 times not -> 30 times it works -> 8 times not -> etc. ..

Here's what I've tried:

-The mobile phone off and on again -> no fix

-Restart the phone with the volume button and the power button -> no fix

Reset the phone to factory settings -fix

-via the Sony PC campanion to repair the phone software -> no fix

The phone currently has the latest software 4.1.2 Jelly Bean by Sony. However, the problem was already with ICS 4.0.4 from Sony.

That the error is caused by other apps I can rule, since it occurs even after resetting to factory settings.

Also an operator error on my part is excluded, since I get the vibration feedback when pressing the button.

Hello there,

Seems you have tried at a lot of things already.

You can try start your phone in "safe mode" which means that none of your 3rd party apps will be active in your phone. If the phone doesn't restart in this mode it seems like the restarts can be caused by an or some apps you have installed in your phone. You can start your phone in safe mode by press and hold the volume down button when you are booting your phone. It will say "safe mode" in the bottom of the screen.

If the problem persists and you have repaired the phone software using PC Companion with no luck I recommend that you send your phone to service for examination and repair. Please contact your local support for more information:
