Problem with audio

When i play media files (mp3, videos, etc), there is no sound coming from speaker. I tried using my headphones as well, but audio not playing still. Ring tones and alert tones are all working fine...I am confused, help!

If you try to play a video through another application such as YouTube do you get any audio at all?

If you have the media volume turned up on the device (pressing up on the volume key whilst something is playinig) and the problem persists then I would suggest a software repair on the phone. This can be done via the PC Companion.

i got the problem with audio to , there is no sound in earspeaker phone incall/outcall

i've try to rapaire with pc companion many times and update latest firmware and problem still occur.

I think I have the similar problem. My Xperia Acro S acts as if its earphones are still connected to it even though it is not. Notifications and Alarms are working just fine but Media sounds aren't. Now, I can't even place nor receive a call unless I plug in my earphones.

Please help. Everything was just working fine this morning.

before this ever happened i got the annoying message, while texting that "microphone this not support this device" or something

the same problem, i tried even taking the sim out of the phone and nothing...

we cant have a smart phone that does this to us,

come on Sony Mobile representatives!!! help us out!!! i switched from an iphone for this??? please help!!!
