Problem with adding contact

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, never had a problem with it until now. Whenever I try to add a contact and start typing the first name it works but reacts slowly. But when I try to add last name/phone number or any of the other fields it automatically returns to the first name field, not allowing me to type anything. This is driving me insane. How can I fix this before I throw my Xperia against the wall?

try to repair your phone with PCC or SUS.

also try not working with your phone when attached to a power source, sometimes the screen becomes glitchy.

If the screen gets glitchy when connected to a wall socket for charging, try changing socket. This is related to the grounding in the socket I believe.
