problem with 2g net in xperia z

I got an xperia Z second hand phone just 2 days before with version 4.1.2....i m usin airtel 2G network and internet speed in xperia z is very worst,i couldnt open anything in playstore or in chrome browser...so i updated to new version 4.2.2 ,but still the same problem persists,i m very much frustated with the speed of 2g net in it...i cudn't use my net for 2 days...

before that i was using samsung galaxy note and it was working fine in that galaxy note....speed was awesome.......

help me to solve this issue so net works fine in my xperia z........

The problem its not the phone but 2G its slow, enable your wifi and then download speedtest (app) from the playstore and test your network's 2G speed, also if your SIM card its a bit old or if you are syncing myriad apps/accounts/services it will slow down your data.
