I installed this http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/bridge-for-mac/ on my mac and it successfully connect to my phone,
but here's my problem...
I drag-n-drop the folder w/ hundred music files from mac to phone. the transfer finishes but not everything was transferred.
I tried this several times and it always gives me same result but alter the files that is not transferred.
I drag-n-drop the untransferred files individually. transferring completes, but the file is not there.
(I already tried reconnecting my phone to my mac but still...)
The only way I could transfer my music files to my phone completely successful is by using sync via itunes
for mac users...
Do you have any other suggestion on how to transfer music files w/o using sync-itunes?
Hm, sounds strange. Did some testing myself and it transferred all the files when I used drag and drop. These files that doesn't get transferred, are they just "normal" mp3 files? Does the same thing happen if you for example transfer a bunch of photos or other files? How many of the hundred music files isn't transferred?
Samuel, Please look into my post and reply. Its urgent.
Having the same problem here but my files are only mp3s which can not bee transfered and its not a format issue coz they all .mp3 files and its not an issuse with the acctual files too coz sometimes it does copy it into the phone and sometimes it simply doesnt . Please give me soloution cuz this is starting to be annoying .
Hi pouryase,
I'm sorry you're not able to transfer your music files via bridge.
Could you please provide me with some more information about your problem so I can forward it to the development crew?
Do you get an error or do the files simply not get transferred?
Are you using both drag-n-drop and the sync function and are you connected in MSC or MTP mode?
Best Regards,
David
Hi David
Yes i do get an error when the transfer finished in Bridge saying "the file is corrupted however as i mentioned it in the previous comment this is not happening only for a particular song or file. this is happen randomly. I tend to transfer the file by the playlists i made in itunes and with the bridge software i tick those which i want to be transfer and then i click sync. now lets say if there are 5 playlists to be transfer, for the first try it does not copy play list No.4 for instance and the rest are fine. The second time i transfer it does copy playlist No.4 but out of sudden i see that i didnt copy the playlist No5. that it did last time and this circle goes forever.
Now regarding to MSC and MTP. when im transferring files using MSC (Music Only) the walkman software tend to not recognise whatever i already transferred and whatever im gonna transfer using MSC. lets say i have 5 playlists in my Walkman app already and i wanna transfer the sixth playlist using MSC when the sync finish and i open the Walkman app i see that there are no Playlist in the App and this is same for the google music app too. as soon as i change it to MTP in the setting i see that my previous playlists appears but not the new one which i used the MSC method (in this case gonna be the Playlist No.6) . Now i have no Music in my internal memory whatsoever and all my musics are in my external Memory(32gb). Beside i wasnt able to use the wirless functionality yet even using MTP method for some reasons so every time i have to plug it in which is quite annoying and plus on MSC mode the internal storage wont work so i assume that im gonna have problem as the updates need to access the internal storage if i wanna leave it on MSC mode. On the other hand when its On MTP mode it takes 3 or 4 mins to gather information everytime im plugging it in.
Cheers.
Hi pouryase,
Thank you for the additional information!
While I look into this further and send it to the development crew could you see if you could retrieve some error logs for me as well? That way I can see what is causing your problem more clearly.
How to extract error logs from Bridge:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM that file to me or post the contents here
Best Regards,
David
Hi Pouryase,
I have passed your information on to the development crew. Could you download the newest version of Bridge (3.3) and see if any of your problems have been fixed? Should any new problems arise please let me know as well.
Kind Regards,
David
Hi pouryase,
I have some answers for you:
The wireless function is not supported by Bridge, thus you have to physically connect your phone to your computer.
Regarding updates: If you're connected in MSC mode, you will be notified if there's an update and receive instructions on switching to MTP mode.
Best Regards,
David
I get the same problem with my sony bridge for mac. Whenever I sync my music form my itunes library using the bridge, it always gives me a message after that "sync is completed with errors" and I see that some of my music are not transferred to my phone. Please help!
