PROBLEM UPDATING

Hi,

am not being able to update  the 6.2.B.0.200 available on my phone. i've haved followed all the necessary instruction given by the pc companion. I only get to the state where you are asked to turn phone of, wait for few seconds and then connect to pc while holding the lower volume key. Nothing happens after that and my phone keeps going on and off. At times it takes a long while before the phone will come on after resetting pressing the power key and the upper volume key. 

i have tried using the sony update service as recommended but to no avail. kindly help me out.

Uninstall PCC and/or SUS > restart your PC > install SUS > restart your PC > disable your firewall and antivirus > run SUS > follow the steps

did exactly as instructed but upon running the SUS  a dialog pops up saying:

An error has occured. See the log file

C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\workspace\.metadata\.log

What do you think can be the problem?
