Did anyone have problem on using external power pack to charget the Xperia Z?

I buy a new one and use the Sony orginal cable to connect and it is not charging,

I then change to HTC and Nokia's orgainal USB cable and it is not working,

I try to use it to charge the Samsung S4 and HTC, it works.

Finally, I borrow my friends charge cable ( only 2 wire inside) then it can charge, Did any technical people here can explain why?

Did Z will test the D+ and D- is NC to control the charging?

The experia Z is fitted with fast charging ability so there's some identity checks for connecting a charger, most likely the cause

Based on Device Charging Specification, Rev 1.1, devices doesn't use D+ & D- to control charging. Instead it's using them to identify the device connected and determine how much current to draw, ranging from 100mA - 500mA, to 1.5A. Without D+ & D-, devices draw a constant of 100mA, 500mA or even 1,5A depending on devices & the charger. Charging via this method is not recommended since it can effect the performance and lifespan of your battery.
