problem in message typing

word suggesting of my phone doesn't work right.(only when i use touchscreen keyboard)

my phone: xperia mini pro sk17i

Eg: when i try to type the word "gedara"(it's not a english word. it's a sinhala word written in english letters) phone suggests many words like "Gedara", "Cedars", "Greats"(with "Cedars" hi-lighted and it's the second word on the list of suggested words) and when i press space after typing the word "gedara" it automaticaly selects the word "Cedars".

i can choose my word from the list of words that phone suggests but if i don't select one, phone selects the second word while ignoring the first word in the list (phone shows the word i typed at the top of its word suggetions. but it chooses the second word in that list if i don't choose what i want). so i can't type what i want with touch screen. i have to keep choosing the word i typed before typing another word.

this problem doesn't occur when i use the physical keyboard.

anybody knows a solution??:smileyconfused:

...that's why the keyboard suggested english words, have you tried, adding  the words in user dictionary?

lol Slightly_smiling_Face great!

of course I did not meant to add the whole language, just common ones, I was under the impression your using two languages at sms. Dizzy_Face

No no. we use Sinhala words in English letters because many phones do not have sinhala font exept for some nokia models.

90% is sinhala and 10% is english words. so adding those 90% to dictonary is a drag:smileylaugh:
