I just acquired this phone and installed a SIMcard from my carrier. I can't get the browser to work. I have input as much of the data settings that the carrier provided but some of the terminologies from the carrier don't match the terminologies for settings on the phone. Neither the carrier and Sony Ericsson support was helpful and each suggest that I contact the other party for help. I have so many questions I don't know where to begin eg. on the x10 Wireless & network settings>Mobilenetworks> I have enabled Data enabled and Data roaming. Under APN the settings terminologies don't match the ones the carrier provided. This is the settings I have input on my phone so far. The questions marks are the settings I am unsure of.:
Name: 7 Eleven
APN: goam.com
Proxy: 10.128.1.69
Port: 80
Username: wapuser1
Password wap
Server: ?
MMSC: ?
MMS proxy: ?
MMS port: ?
MCC: ?
MNC: ?
Authentication type: ?
APN type: ?
Any help work be greatly appreciated. My thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info and link. I input all the settings except for APN Protocol: IPv4 as I don't see the APN Protocol option on my X10. It is still not working.
At thekidd's website it says that "4. Now you should see your phone get a data connection and be able to browse the web on your 3G connection. " but my phone is still not getting a data connection.
Part of the issue may be (I am not sure as I am not familiar with your network) that the settings you have there look to be WAP settings. Whilst these would be fine for a generic handset, the X10 will be very limited in its internet functionality with these. You may wish to check with your network provider to ensure that they are providing you with Internet and not WAP settings.
Unfortunately that is all the information that is available from the service provider's website. The support staff there cannot provide anymore information or help than what I have shown in my original post.
I am not familiar at all with these terminologies and don't know the difference between internet and WAP settings and from past experiences trying to get this phone working I am not hopeful at all that I will get anywhere with my service provider- but I will try again. From their website:
“SpeakOut Wireless offers a wide range of handsets that support the unlimited browsing feature. While other data capable handsets may work on our service, we cannot guarantee service. SpeakOut Wireless customer service agents cannot assist with data configuration settings for non-SpeakOut Wireless handsets.”
