power button fell off

Yesterday that power button of my Xperia l fell off.. Did anyone experience the same problem? N will it be covered by warranty.. My phone is 7 months old and has never fell

I went to the svc.. They say the whole back panel would be changed which would cost 1200rs.. Why would I spend 1200rs on that little button whose coming out was not my.mistake..

Plus note that the button is working.. Just that silver part is.missing.. But its quite difficult to lock and unlock the phone without that
