Hi,
Am sure someone somewhere has already had this problem and have had it resolved but I can't find it anywhere,
My problem is that I can set my phone up as a portable Wifi Hot spot, my computer or device connects absoluetly fine to the phone but can't get webpages to load or have any sort of internet connectivity. Alot of people say that I need to change the APN settings on my phone but I have no idea where I need to get these setting from or what values they should be.
I am running a xperia t, Android version 4.1.2,
Thanks in advance for any help,
I suggest that you contact your network operator/provider to get the APN values for tethering.
Also make sure that you don't have any special characters in the SSID and password for the Wi-Fi hotspot you have created.
IVE FIXED MY TETHERING!!
i was trying to add a new APN but it wouldnt save, i then acccidentally deleted the apn settings! but on adding a new one, my tethering now works!!
click here to get the APN settings for your network... http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/series/apn-mobile-network-settings-learning-series
Follow the instructions, then hopefully it will work for you too :smileysmileythumbsup:
Sooo happy to have tethering back! One thing tho, there has to be right! I accidentally deleted the mms settings, so i probably cant receive picture texts, well, i say that, i havent tried yet, no bother tho.
Happy tethering people
