Pop-Up Adverts

Hi

I've had my Z1 Compact since April & have only just (the last couple of days) started to get pop-up adverts appearing.

I know there is another thread from earlier this year where a solution is to uninstall self-downloaded apps but before I start to do this I wonder if anyone else is experiencing the same problem?

I ask because I haven't downloaded any apps for some weeks, now so I'm thinking the problem may be an update.

Anyway, if anyone knows the problem or even knows of a solution I'd be very glad to hear from them

You have to download app by app until you find the culprit

Hi,

If you get ads in the notification field, you can drag down the notification field and long press the message. You will then receive the option "App info" which should help you to localize which app that gives the ad.

Otherwise, there might be an app which can scan your phone for apps that may give pop up adverts. At Google Play you can search for "Ad detector" or similar.

You could also try clearing out your browser data. If using Chrome do the following.

Chrome > Menu Key > History > Clear Browsing Data > Tick Clear Cache and Browsing history as well as Cookie data.

I have the same problem too. After finishing a app a popup appears with a advertising.

This is poor.

How I can stop this?

boot on safe mode and check if you experience the same issue

You could try an Antivirus application to help find any apps that may be causing this type of issue. I suggest trying Avast from the Play Store.

I've just done as you suggested.

I'll give it a try & let you know how I get on  Although I did delete a couple of the later Apps I've installed & had no pop ups sinc e then
