Please help me! Upadating to Android 4.0 using sony update service void warrnty or not!

I am in sri lanka & i bought a original xperia mini pro phone from Airtouch company in 2011 december month. Still had warranty.

Today i update 4.0 With Sony update service. I had done steps correctly. After updating phone i had firstly power it. Then it not work perfectly.

Touch were not respond anymore. then i gave phone to shop where i buy it & they said updating the software will void my warrnty.They said they will try to repair my phone & they accept  the phone. 

Is this true or not?  i only use sony update service.

Neither PCC or SUS or Bridget will void your warranty, they probably meant if you manually update your phone, also contact Sony and let them know because either they are misinformed or something else it's going on there

In sri lanka sony shop is not. I had bought from airtouch company. http://www.cicmedia.net/eng/web_free.php?company_id=800554 I haven't manually update the phone & i really don't know how to do it.  Thanks for help.
