Am i right in thinking that even though i have bought Wipeout and Rayman to name but 2 games to play on my PS3 i would have to buy them yet again to use on my Xperia S?
They are separate pieces of hardware running different operating systems, so yes this does apply sorry.

Sony not letting you use previously bought content from the Playstation Store is unforgivable to be honest, talk about milking near 20 year old games to death. As for different operating systems being the reason well that's one of the weakest reasons I've ever heard when it comes to getting more money out of people. The Playstation games are the original code just running under emulation, Sony Liverpool have stated many times they no longer have the source code for the original Wipeout which is why there has never been a HD version of the game up to press as it would require a full rewrite (although we can live in hope). They certainly have not taken the time to write a specific Android version thats for sure.
Oh well I guess it is some more bloat I can now delete off the phone, as much as I love Wipeout I must have paid for it 5 times since 1995. Make them an Android friendly 99p and I'll think about it.
This is unacceptable for me, too. Why is Sony this "One Sony" strategy along with the Sony Entertainment Network. The PS one games are just images, so it doesn't matter on which OS you're starting them with an emulator. I've already paid a lot of them with SEN account in the PS Store on the PS3, so I want to use these images as well on my Tablet S and Xperia S.
Very poor from Sony...
support from sony has been very poor ever since the big crash of the playstation network,
especially when its someone who works for xperia saying that is a different operating system, its an emulator, its costs sony pennies to transfer it to ps store, why not let people who have bought the game on ps3 download the app on the phones ? are sony really that hard up ?
were buying a 15ys old game for goodness sake for over £5.
atleast offer people a discount if they have already purchased the game to play it on there phones,
