Phone won't turn on or charge, unresponsive to all reset/restart procedures : Z3 Compact

Good day Xperia Care,

I went to bed with my Z3c at about 35% battery level last night. 7hrs later, there was no response from my 1.5yr old Z3 Compact at all.

I can only get the red led notification light to come on when the usb port is connected to a charger (or computer usb) via cable. There is no red light when connected via magnetic charge port.

I have tried all the combinations that include holding down power + vol_up buttons, power + vol_down buttons for short or long periods (upto 60 secs) with and without charger plugged in. Also tried holding vol_down button by itself and also while connecting the phone to a charger. Same goes for power button. The red led, if on, doesn't blink or change. No vibration at all.

Tried a combination including holding vol_down button when connecting to PC, phone is not detected at all.

I have also tried holding the reset switch (next to sim card slot) for short and long times, upto 120secs, as suggested. No vibration or any response.

I have spent the last 7hrs reading about this here and trying whatever solutions I could find, no luck at all.

Please help

(Latest system updates always applied and I usually only need to charge the phone once every 3 to 4 days, when it nears 15%)

just try charging the phone with the wallmount adapter without the button combination 3 hours plus+ then perform software repair using Xperia Companion again

if that did not fixed it then have your phone checked at your local service center Local support

Hi @alfie,

I am sorry to hear that. Slightly_frowning_Face

I recommend that you have your device sent to an authorized service center, contact your Local support for further assistance in doing so.
