Phone unable to connect to my computer.

Phone - Xperia Pro

When I connect my phone to the computer using the USB, it's not getting connected. I am unable to tranfer any kind of file. The phone is not detected on my computer.
But, at the same time, my phone is getting charged while it is connected.

okay, I've uninstalled pc companion.
Then, connected my phone to the computer.
It is detected. Can transfer files, media, etcetera.
Problem solved.
