Phone switching itself to silent mode

Hi ! I have an Xperia SL,and a strange problem has shown up in my phone.When i keep setting the ringing volume at its loudest,The phone itself goes back to zero sound without vibration and i cant take any calls if its in my pocket !! i dont know what to do, so Plzz kindly help !!!

Try to start the phone in safe mode to see if the problem may be caused by some 3rd party application:

You can also try to clear data for smart connect. Go to settings > apps > all > smart connect > clear data. 

Restart your phone and see if the problem persists. 

Also make sure that you don't press and hold the volume down key when the phone is unlocked and that you don't have a widget for the sound that you might accidentally press on.
