phone restarts automatically

My z1 restarts itself automatically every now and then (at least once a day). It just blacks out then the Sony logo appears (like what you see during the start up)The whole process doesn't take long so it's not that much of a big deal, but it gets annoying. How can I fix this?

i cant really check about it rebooting itself automatically yet, because it usually happens once a day and i will have to eave my phone on safe mode the whole time.

however i do realize my camera issues disappeared when i'm in safe mode. (my camera used to lag a lot during startup, espeicially when i switch to the manual mode). does this mean the lag has something to do with my applications and if yes, how do i check which?

Yes,it means some apps you have installed are acting up.You can narrow your search by looking for task killers,battery savers,antivirus etc.

Mine does it too.. so does my wifes. Dont blame it on the apps, we have used android for years and have the same apps installed on the Z1 as my old N4, S3 etc.

The fact remains that the sony software is utter pants compared to the other manufacturers. Sony need to sort their arses out and get this fixed before too many people get pissed off and jump ship. Same thing happened to HTC with the oneX. Too many problems and they ended up loosing customers to Samsung. Some carriers wont even stock HTC now due to the failure rates.

Z1 hardware seems good, software is rubbish.

Once the development moves along and some of the bugs with the Cyanogen mod roms are sorted it will be time to move over.

My Z1 had cronic camera issues when it was rooted running stock android. Never crashed. Same apps... this is a FIRMWARE issue.
