phone reboots after wifi turned on

hi so yesterday i turened wifi on my phone running a custom android 4.1.2 ROM and the phone started rebooting.. 😕

so today i downgraded to stock ics and stock kernal.. the phone sucessfully boots and works .. but everytime i turn wifi on it goes into the bootloop and i have to re-flash the firmware all the time 😕 

does anyone have a solution to this ?

Only bought phone today o2 retail artane. Worked for a while now every time I try connecting to WiFi phone freezes into xperia then o2 screen and I have to wait for phone to startup again. Only when WiFi turned off does this stop problem. Had Alcatel phone before this and no problems at all. Sony this is a **bleep**e situation and I demand an explanation
