phone nightmare

So my Xperia Go has been a nightmare since day one. Im due for an upgrade at christmas after two years but I still have a few more months to endure. I have NEVER been able to update my phone and its still working with the software it came with, yet still telling me that there are no software updates available. I have tried updating every way possible and it still wont let me. My apps shut down if and when they please and so does the whole phone. My text are a bit of a lottery. Since I have a personal life that survives on texts and calls a lot of the time, im very let down. The delivered tick appears on a text when it hasnt actually been delivered and vice versa. Sometimes my phone will stop recieving texts all together and they will all come through about 3-4 hours later. When someone calls me it takes so long for the screen to react and tell me who is calling that they hang up. I cant deal with the hastle this phone is causing and the problems it starts due to lack of communication. This phone seems to be completley unable to do what i need it to, Send texts and allow calls. i understand that this ohone is quite old now but im paying for it to work and it should be working but it isnt. PLEASE HELP!!!

What firmware version are you running as you may have the latest firmware which could have been installed at the time of purchase also since owning the phone have you performed a system repair - This is not the same as a factory reset

I'd consider backing up all info on your phone 1st and then performing a system repair

To perform a system repair which will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)

Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
