phone gets hot

Hi everyone just an enquiry, my xperia z gets really hot when using Google maps especially when using the sat navigation, used it recently to find my new place of work and was only on the satnav function for half an hour, got a phone call and couldn't hold it against my ear it was so hot that can't be right..... Yep felt strange to hold don't like it's compact size seem to prefer the full sized phones and do like the z3 toI but z2 feels more the premium device think Sony got it spot on with the z2.
