Phone died and wont charge?

I was using my phone to browse the web and my battery went from 2% to 50% a little while later it outright died. When i plug in the phone to charge the notification light blinks red and the phone vibrates every few seconds but the battery never charges even though the little lightning logo is over it.

I've tried turning it off with the yellow button by the sim but i end up with the same constantly vibrating problem. And i've tried holding down the volume up+power but it just vibrates three times and back to the problem is there anything else i can try? is my battery just fried?

 hooked my phone up to my pc holding the volume up to get the blue light on (i think it's fastboot? doesn't matter since my pc doesn't seem to notice it) and i'm going to leave it overnight. I'll check the thread in the morning. Thanks in advance if anybody can help

Hi @Braian,

Welcome to the community.

Please try taking out the SIM and SD card, charging it for at least 2 hours, then try to turn it on again and let us know how you go.

@Braian,

I am sorry to hear that.

The last thing I can recommend before contacting your Local support is to try a software repair using Xperia Companion.
