i have this issue where if i uninstall the inbuilt user apps (appxtra, astro, 4sq, wisepilot, etc), they somehow magically come back up if i reboot the phone. it's getting to be annoying, lol. which app/service do i need to disable/remove to stop this from happening?
hmm... i only notice that this happens if i remove their corpses too and not just the app... but somehow yesterday i was still on unrooted ics and this happened...
what do you mean by restarting the phone, do you mean a factory reset? if so then yes those app will come back unless you root your phone (you know how) and delete them
restarting the phone as in turning it off and turning it back on...
went into app drawer and watched as the icons magically reappear. lol
hmm... doesn't seem to happen now that i've not used a corpsecleaner to remove the corpses... we'll see how it goes... like i said it did happen once when i was still unrooted...
that's odd if you uninstall an app it should be gone

yea... maybe it's a sort of failsafe like what microsoft did with windows2000 and up where if u remove system files it will auto restore from a hidden backup somewhere...
oh well... since i was only able to replicate the problem AFTER deleting the corresponding /data/tombstones files i might as well just leave them there... don't think they use up a lot of space so... bleh
