PC freezes while software update

Hello Friends,

I bought a Sony Xperia J last week and after installing Sony PC Companion, I came to know that there is a software update for the device and started updating it. SPCC successfully prepared the PC for update and after that when it asked for disconnecting the cable both from Phone & PC and reconnecting the phone by holding down the Volume down key, noting happens. I can see that Found New Hardware notification while doing it showing SEMC flash drive also. After that PC freezes. Then I am not able to do anything.

Can anyone help to solve this problem. How can I update my phone's software?

Sorry to hear of the issue you've had with updating. I would suggest using the Update Service (http://bit.ly/Jb00HG) rather than the PC Companion.
