PC COMPANION NOT INSTALLING

I recently purchased an xperia ray (last night actually) and im trying to install the PC companion but it is not working at all. I tried downloading the setup file from the support site as well and it keeps saying windows has detected a problem. Please Help me.

Try Update Service (SEUS)

Also the issue could be your antivirus and/or firewall, turn them off and try again

you can try this too

restart your PC -> press F8 -> safemode -> run PCC

i updated my phone software but its still not working. I tried installing it on safe mode and it worked but when i ran windows normally it doesnt work at all.

i use bit defender 2012 and i turned off the firewall and antivirus. It is still not installing. I am getting really frustrated now.

sorry to say this, but the issue is your computer, your antivirus is not allowing you to run and/or install neither PCC or SEUS, antivirus usually have more than one funtcion one is to scan virus in your computer, another to filter web content, this last could be the problem, you need to turn it off
