PC Companion doesn't detect Xperia S once connected through USB

Hi,

I recently upgraded my Sony Xperia LT26i to the latest Android Version 6.2.B.O.200 last week through my PC companion successfully.

However, post updation, my phone is not being detected neither by the PC Companion, nor by Windows itself, and am unable to transfer data from my PC to the phone or vice versa.

I have tried doing this both through the USB connect and Wifi network but to no avail.

I presume this is an issue with the the drivers not being updated on the system. However, I am not able to update the LT26i driver installed through the devices tab in the Control Panel. The error code that is displayed is 0x80070005.

Some assistance on this would be great!

Can you try plugging the USB cable in to the handset and restarting the PC with the device still connected, this may force the drivers to install and update.

Or

Try the following. Menu > Settings > Developer options > Tick USB debug > Connect USB

This can also make the drivers install on to the PC.

Tried both options Jake, but they don't work.

Is there any other way out of this? My mobile is now stuck as a standalone device.
