PC Companion does not sync contacts

I use PC Companion to sync Outlook contact and calendar wirh Google account. Since yesterday it stopped to sync contacts. Application simply reports error and does not tell anything about it. I searched for sync logs and found file GMailSyncReport.xml. The file contains the following:

-<contacts icon="2" id="txt2" warnings="0" errors="0" modified="0" deleted="0" added="0" display-status="Synchronizacja zakończona niepowodzeniem ze względu na nieznany błąd" status="unknown error">

<pc warnings="0" errors="0" modified="0" deleted="0" added="0"/>

<phone warnings="0" errors="0" modified="0" deleted="0" added="0"/>

</contacts>

What now?

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you tried by chance reinstalling the PC Companion software? as this could be related to another PC program editing files it shouldn't  causing issues relating to the use of windows applications.

I suggest performing this task first and then advise if this has helped the issue.
