Pattern Lock - New Way to Solve Lock Out

This just came up on Androidforums so thought I would post a link to it here....

http://androidforums.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-x10/145715-help-too-many-pattern-attemps.html#post1341...

This question has been asked soooo many times and maybe this will be of use to anyone that gets stuck.

Oooooh hadn't thought of it that way!  Maybe.  That's a bit worrying.  See I'm just far to honest and upright and forget that there's some bad people in the world.

I personally don't use pattern lock having had a nightmare with it with my ditz of a teenager and I don't really want to try it out just in case it doesn't work and I'm forced in to the whole reset/repair thing.

Maybe we'll get some feed back from peeps if it does work... but then we have this whole other can of worms to look at don't we.

I've used the pattern lock and it works really well. It does get to you though when you are using phone and it blacks out within a second of you not pressing a button and you not only have to unlock the phone but the pattern lock as well.

I did use it at first, and it was quite fun, but seeing all the messages here about the problems caused when too many unlock attempts were made quickly put me off using it for too long.

Have you ever been locked out?
