Hi please help. I keep getting this message every time I try to download Apps to my Xperia Arc. Any ideas why? Cheers - in advance. Val
How are you downloading the apps to your phone?
Via the Mobile wireless netowrk or through Wi Fi?
and are these apps you are downloading from the Android Market?
Do I have to have wifi on then? Maybe that's the problem. I've been trying to press install and download on the phone and thought that was enough! What is the Mobile Wireless Network?
There could be some sort of file corruption during the download process.
Either the phone is corrupting the download or the corruption is happening somewhere between the phone and the app source.
I hope you are not in a bad coverage area causing drops outs on your phone ==> possibly corrupting the file you are downloading or making you get partial files only. Hence teh package file invalis message.
Your mobile wireless network is your mobile operator's network
eg. who you have your mobile phone service with
If you are downloading apps from the Android Market,
You need to have :
1) Enabled background data on the phone.
2) Have an email address associated with he phone
3) Have access to the internet ( either through WiFi or through the mobile wireless network)
4) Launch the Market app on your phone.
