I have recently purachased the sony ericsson mobile CK13i.
I have a grave issue with the out going calls through my postpaid SIM. When ever i try calling a contact which is not in my CUG, i am getting a message that the perticular person is not in my CUG and i cant all him. Now when i tried my sim in another mobile, i was able to call people who are not in my CUG , which shows that there is not issue with sim or my services. To confirm I contacted my serviece provider and they confirmed the same.
I read the other threads regarding change of CUG index but that is not working for me.
Kindly suggest or i will to replace my mobile.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/mobilephones/downloads/subject/updateservice/txt?cc=gb&lc=en I don't know what CUG stands for, but in any case, since it doesn't appear to be a SIM or network issue, I suggest you run the update service and failing that, a master reset.
CUG is close user group. I am using vodaphone coprate scheme, in which we have free calling to certain people who are in CUG but this doesn't mean that we can not call others.
I dont feel that the resting or updating will help in this case.

Well, these are the normal troubleshooting options available, which may fix the problem if it's due to a software issue.However, since you're not prepared to explore these options,then I can only suggest you return the phone for repair or replacement.Unless of course, someone alse has a different suggestion.
I'm not familiar with this Close User Group thing so I suggest you first of all try to put a different SIM in this phone and try to dial a number that doesn't work with your SIM card.
This doesn't solve the issue but it can help ruling whether the phone is the problem or not.
The Index ID solution has not worked for many of 'em.
I had just suggested , cuz, It worked for me !
Please let me know , if something else works too ...

The SIM which i am using is working in other mobile.
I finally solved the issue by putting the INDEX number '01'.
So from this we can conculde that the issue, not actually issue, is with phone as the default settings does not allow users to make calls other then CUG and no information is provided by the sony ericsson regarding this to the users.
