why after i update my phone to kitkat 4.4.4 i can't use my OTG?

Yes even my M2 is not reading flash drives over OTG. I used to use a SanDisk usb and it worked fine. But, recently all of a sudden the phone doesn't detect any OTG at all. I have tried different drives, otg cables etc but, the phone doesn't detect anything. All the drives and cables are detected in other phones/pcs. Please suggest any diagnostic test to pin point the problem.

I tried using an app OTG troubleshooter, it said OTG not detected by Linux and Android.

First try forcing a shutdown of the phone by holding the off button under the cover for the SIM-card and see if that helps.

If the issue remains i recommend that you try performing a repair of the phones software using a computer but please note that this will reset your phone. You can download software for this from http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiam2/software/
